I didn’t know exactly what to expect from Cartagena. I had heard that it was colorful, warm and full of history… but what I experienced exceeded any expectations. It was a perfect mix of culture, fun and real connection with a place that vibrates with every step you take.

🚌 Day 1: City tour in Chiva – History with rhythm and smiles

The first activity on my itinerary was the City Tour at Chiva Cultural with LifeTravelers. And what a great way to start! Getting on that colorful goat, with happy music, drums and a guide full of energy, was like entering directly into the heart of the city.

The next day I took a walking tour of the historic center. The cobblestone streets, the balconies full of flowers, the walls overlooking the sea… it seemed like being inside a movie.

The guide took us through corners that don’t appear on maps, and each story made me admire the strength and spirit of this city more. Cartagena is not only beautiful: it is resilient, passionate and deeply human.

🎉 Night: Rumba in Chiva – A night to remember

And if the day was incredible… the night was crazy with joy! I joined the famous Rumba in Chiva, and it was like celebrating life with strangers who in minutes became friends.

Crossover music, entertainment, stops for night photos, and at the end… entry to a local nightclub to close the night dancing! I couldn’t stop smiling. It was an authentic, local and fun experience. As if the city had embraced me.

🏝️Day 3: Adventure in the Rosario Islands – Paradise in the Caribbean

And the beach day has arrived! I left by boat towards the Rosario Islands, one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life. The turquoise water, white sand beaches, and tropical atmosphere were just perfect.

I spent the day between sun, sea and snorkeling. I tried delicious food in front of the sea, relaxed in a hammock, and felt like time stood still in this Colombian paradise.

It is the ideal balance between adventure, nature and rest.

Cartagena was not just a destination. It was an emotion, a discovery and a connection with a culture full of life.
